Tatra is one of the most beautiful Polish regions. No wonder that every year come to the area a lot of tourists. Holiday in the Tatras is not only a way to relax in nature, but also an opportunity for increased physical activity, which is certainly a good way to spend time, especially for active people. Where to go in the Tatras? Certainly one of the most popular trails is the trail leading to Morskie Oko, or pond located between the highest elevations on the Polish side of the Tatras. Polish mountains - Tatras
The Tatra Mountains, Tatras or Tatra (Tatry either in Slovak (pronounced ?tatri) or in Polish (pronounced ?tatr?)- plurale tantum), are a mountain range that form a natural border between Slovakia and Poland. They are the highest mountain range in the Carpathian Mountains. The Tatras should be distinguished from the Low Tatras (Slovak: Nízke Tatry) which are located south of the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia.
The Tatra Mountains occupy an area of 785 square kilometres (303 sq mi), of which about 610 square kilometres (236 sq mi) (77.7%) lie within Slovakia and about 175 square kilometres (68 sq mi) (22.3%) on the territory of Poland. The highest peak, called Gerlach, at 2,655 m (8710 ft) is located north of Poprad. The highest point in Poland, Rysy, at 2,499 m (8200 ft) is located south of Zakopane.

In Poland, we find a lot of sites that are attractive from the environmental point of view. Actually, in each province we can find no problem region, which is worth a visit just for that reason. Certainly the most attractive in terms of natural places, and also the most frequently chosen by tourists regions are mountains. The highest mountains in Polish is a place where you can really relax, and by the way also to learn about the local wildlife. Of course, Poland is worth a visit also in other Polish regions: notable, for example Bialowieza Forest and mites. The sea also find unique natural regions that are worth seeing.
